The Northwest Native American Center of Excellence (NNACoE) at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) works to sustainably address the health care needs of all people by increasing the number of American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/ANs) in the health professions workforce. We accomplish this through a continuum of health professions initiatives from high school through early faculty level. NNACoE is Native-led, and grounded in Indigenous values that strengthen our programmatic approaches to recruit, train, and retain future AI/AN healthcare leaders.

NSF National Geophysical Facility (operated by EarthScope Consortium) - 148

The NSF National Geophysical Facility (NGF) operated by EarthScope Consortium supports research in the geosciences using geophysical tools. Funded in 2025, it provides instrumentation, data access, and educational resources for researchers, local governments, educators, and students, among other users. The NSF NGF seeks to sustain and grow the geophysics community with support for students and early career researchers including classroom resources, internship programs, and technical training, as well as outreach to communicate the value of geophysics and the Earth sciences to a broader audience. The NSF NGF offers three paid summer internship programs for students at multiple stages of their academic and career journeys. The Geo-Launchpad, RESESS, and Student Career internship programs offer experiences ranging from research skill development and scientific research to real-world professional work, along with mentorship, professional development, and connections to a broad geoscience community.

SCF’s Research Department was established in 2007 to improve the health and wellness of the Alaska Native Community through high-quality health services research conducted with and for the Native Community.
